How Sony and Marvel should do the MCU's Spider-Man 4
Since 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony has manage to keep the legacy of everyone's favorite frieldly neighborhood webslinger at his finest and because other Marvel films under the Walt Disney's umbrella have suffered dreadfully at the box office over the past few years due to the injection of politics, most specifically ESG/identity politics related content, we must not allow the forthcoming fourth film to end up like Thor: Love and Thunder, Ant Man 3, Star Wars Episodes 8-7, nor the DCCW shows and with a writer's strike going on in Los Angeles and Manhattan which has put production on movies and shows on hold, this is the perfect time to lobby Disney, Sony and Marvel of what they should include and should avoid using in some of their future projects. Most specifically Avengers: Kang Dynasty and the fourth Spider-Man movie set later in 2025.
Here are some Spider-Man comics for Marvel and Sony to take some inspiration for the fourth movie from;
Now, from what we've seen from the events in Spider-Man: No Way Home, I will start with the cast that director Don Watts and Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige should have ready to star in this movie that is yet to arrive in theaters August 2025.
Tom Holland as Spider-Man
After having everyone's memories of his secret identity erased in No Way Home, Peter must now distance himself from his friends and classmates as Spider-Man to keep them safe. In the movie, he will arrive at the very city where Eddie Brock and Venom had just been sent back to during a school trip to Northwestern Mexico and acquire the sample of the alien symbiote that got left behind. With it, we not only expect him go dark as he usually does while wearing it in the comics and the shows, but also, while it is under Sony's umbrella, we want to see him unleash his full fighting potential against the villains he'll be facing in this movie, including their goons. Not only do we want to see Spider-Man beat the crap out of them, but also ensure that his fights with them last longer and that some of the villains he'll face will put up are good fight with him in his black suit. Plus, it'd be awesome to see him go "John Wick" on them once in a while, but without the guns and the knives. Then, before confronting the big bad in the climax, he will be reasoned with by a few other heroes that he isn't acting like his friendly neighborhood self and must understand that he can't always keep his secret identity from the ones he still has left to care for forever.
Elizabeth Olsen to reprise her role as Scarlet Witch
Yes, some of you are wondering why her when there haven't been any popular storylines with her and Spider-Man teaming up? Because some of us not only would love to see Holland and Olsen working together on set for a standalone Spider-Man film, but also because this film will still be part of the MCU's Multiverse saga and not only would be great to see them both team up against the villain for this film, but also Peter will need someone to help bring him up to speed on what he's up against throughout the movie and learn more about the where the symbiote he bonds with came from and not just from space. Wanda so far is the only hero in the MCU with the ability to tap into people's minds and with her ability to reality warp and pull off almost anything with her powers, we'd love to see her put up a good fight in this movie as well. Plus, she and Peter made mistakes that affected the fabric of the multiverse and lost people close to them so they both would have plenty in common to share with each other. Olsen earlier this year revealed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had about a total of 32 scripts which is insane for a movie studio to have writers draft up and they never even watched her show on Disney plus. It's another reason why we can't let Disney's corrupt regime ruin this upcoming 4th film and since Olsen is still waiting for Marvel to call her back to reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man 4 is the perfect film for Scarlet Witch to make her return.
Byung Hun Lee to portray Mister Negative, the fourth installment's main villain.
From the events that took place from No Way Home where Peter's Aunt May was murdered by the Green Goblin, leaving a vacuum for someone to fill in at F.E.A.S.T., this makes the MCU's next Spider-Man installment the perfect time to bring in Martin Li and the Inner Demons who will seek out control of New York City and wipe out anyone who gets in their way. In this film, he will be acting as May Parker's successor as head of F.E.A.S.T. while at the same time, leads the Inner Demons into seeking possession of a dangerous vitus called Devil's Breath in which he would use for his grand scheme to take the city under his control. With his ability to control people's minds and weild such kinetic energy, Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch must work together to stop this new threat at all cost.
Zendaya as Michelle Jones, Peter's former love interest who was formally entrusted with his secret identity as Spider-Man before Peter had Doctor Strange erase everyone's memories of his secret identity to protect her and everyone else close to him.
In this upcoming movie, Peter will continue keeping his distance from her and Ned as Spider-Man, but when his newest foes led by Mister Negative are looking to come after her and everyone else to get to the wall crawler, his secret identity will come crawling back to her and then Peter will have no choice but to restore his trust in her and the rest of his friends closest to him.
Yvette Monreal as Ava Ayala/White Tiger, a Latin American woman who seeks to avenge her brother's death and eventually joins Spider-Man in his fight against the Inner Demons as the new White Tiger.
This would mark as the second time Spider-Man and White Tiger work alongside since Ultimate Spider-Man 2012. I know, she's not Black Cat, but she's got supernatural powers and if you saw character from the show go nuts, it's another reason to give Ava Ayala a shot on the big screens.
Charlie Cox as Daredevil, a lawyer by day, crimefighter by night.
After appearing in No Way Home to help clear Peter of the crime Mysterio framed him for in Far From Home, Murdock will return to help Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, and White Tiger take down Mister Negative and his forces as well as his arch foe, the Kingpin. First, he will show up to help remind Spider-Man of who he is and what he stands for after he witnesses the Wallcrawler's newly ruthless and destructive behavior while wearing the black alien suit.
Jacob Balton as Ned Leeds, Peter's best friend who now no longer remembers him as Spider-Man.
Daniel Bernhardt as the Hobgoblin, a super villain from the comics who dresses like a goblin in a hood while wearing military gear and weilding such an arsonal of weapons and rides glider to scale the city from above much like the Green Goblin.
He would be portrayed as a former CIA operative with such incredible hand to hand combat skills and acute senses that Spider-Man cannot handle alone without the black suit.
Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Peter's school bully and big spider-man fan
Bookem Woodbine to return as Shocker, a former henchman of the Vulture from the first movie who returns with two upgraded gauntlets which can generate powerful shockwaves and a new suit while taking sides with Hobgoblin and Mister Negative.
Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin, the most powerful crime boss in all of New York City who is very much likely to serve as the 4th installment's overarching antagonist.
and Rina Sawayama to play Yuri Watanabe, officer of the NYPD
and JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, Spider-Man's #1 critic
We cannot allow Marvel and Disney to ruin Spider-Man 4 the same way they've been ruining a ton of other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, with the writer's strike going on, now would be the perfect time to lobby some of them into pressing their bosses and studio executives into granting back their rights for more creative freedom, less AI involvement, and not go against more of the source materials in the comics and inform them on what characters we want to see in the upcoming 4th film and how we want it to go down so it doesn't disappoint us just like Star Wars episode 8 has.
We want the film to be less hokey, with less humor and a slightly more serious tone with the action and everything. We don't want Zendaya's character to have too big a role in this movie since Peter is looking to continue distancing himself from her and the rest of his friends from school as Spider-Man, at least until we come to the climax because of what we saw from No Way Home, we want this film featuring Peter's relationship with MJ to go the same was as we saw with him and Mary Jane Watson from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. And we seriously can't allow Marvel to pull off any tricks behind our backs by having any of Peter's friends bond with the symbiote unless it's meant to help guide it directly to him for the bond to happen.
Plus, while wearing the Black Suit, he'll be able to kick so much ass the way he does in the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game much like we see in the John Wick movies and I would love to see that with him in black fighting Hobgoblin, Mister Negative and every henchman in it. Plus, with Scarlet Witch in the film, she'll be able to help him learn more about his new powers and where the suit really came from besides outer space. The subtitle for this movie should be Home Alone.
Also, by having 4 different heroes helping Spider-Man fight against his foes in the upcoming movie, that should also help make the film more fun ahead of production and they go with some cooler music to fit the film's tone of fun like "Who you talking to Man" by Nostalgia. So get out there and help lobby the writers for Spider-Man 4 along with the heads of Sony and Marvel to include all of the following shown from this article and make sure they watch No Way Home so they don't ruin the 4th film like the writers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have for that movie.
Heck, if it helps, we should consider going to watch Kraven the hunter this fall on October 6th and make it score a big enough profit to encourage Sony to not only stay on course with what we want to see in Spider-Man 4 but also make it the first r rated Spider-Man movie so that every hero and villain in the film bring out their full potential and consider splitting it into two separate films to make things more interesting for the audiences. Heck, be sure to contact the heads of the studio and its parent owner to have them take this route for the character so that the fourth film steers in the right direction.
